Wedding Photography

Get wedded at Daylesford by the LakeWe are proud to display the galleries of several wedding photographers known for their local work around Daylesford and the Macedon region.

The Daylesford Lake, local waterfalls, lavender gardens and many other well known landscapes in the region are perfect for the wedding setting, as will our own rustic stables, barn and five acres of gardens when renovations are complete.

We welcome inquiries from couples and photographers to inspect our estate for prospective wedding photography albums. We offer acres of European gardens, rose gardens, views over the Wombat Forest and our rustic stables and barn.

Choosing Locations for your Wedding Photography

When choosing locations for your wedding photography take into account the following:

  • What you will be wearing on the day.
  • The possible weather
  • The background to the photos
  • The equipment the photographer needs to carry
  • Ease of access for wedding car
  • The amount of shade
  • Protection from high winds
  • The intrusion of the public into your photos

Wedding Location Shots

Choosing a Daylesford Wedding Photography Location is Hard With So Many ChoicesChoosing the right location for your wedding photos can be daunting as there is so much to choose from.

First thing to do is consider where the ceremony is held and its surrounds and where the reception is located and what is available on route there.

Your photographer can help with suggestions where lighting and travel are taken into consideration.

Once you arrive at the location of choice for your photo shoot you should allow at least 30 to 40 minutes of photography. Anything over an hour and a half tends to loose the moment.

If you have a long break between the ceremony and reception it’s worth considering a stop off at a cafe or a pub.

Grabbing some informal and candid shots relaxing can be a perfect way of getting capturing the unexpected. It’s also important to factor in some time for the refreshments that your car hire company may bring along.

Getting your energy back up with a champagne and a bite to eat can help boost your energy levels for the photo session.
