What better way to experience the Aussie bush than on horseback. Trail rides take you through beautiful bush land allowing you to experience nature first hand.

Most trail riding centres cater for riders of all levels of experience and offer rides ranging from 1 hour to 7 days in duration. Some even offer evening trail rides for a different experience.

The region is also home to many renowned and internationally recognised horse studs, breeding and raising horses for both gallops and harness racing.  Some do guided tours giving you to opportunity to view a Melbourne Cup hopeful.

Boomerang Holiday Ranch chooses your horse for your particular skill level.Boomerang Holiday Ranch is a family owned and operated Camp located in the Spa Centre of Victoria, only 2km from the main centre of Daylesford and surrounded by picturesque Hepburn Regional Park.

Boomerang Ranch offers trail and horse riding through native bushland, with all rides supervised. School camps are a specialty with bunk style accommodation and a large range of fun outdoor activities.

Trail rides cater for the absolute beginner through to the more experienced rider. They choose your horse for your particular skill level. Safety instruction rides are given and split into groups of different skill levels so as to ensure you have a safe fun horse riding experience. Their emphasis is in safety and staff will ensure your safety at all times. Ranch horses are well-treated, maintained and all have a friendly nature (as do the staff!).

Hepburn Lagoon Trail Rides are a great way to explore the Macedon Ranges region on horsebackSet amongst the picturesque hills of the Mt. Prospect district, you will delight in the country horse riding experience provided at Hepburn Lagoon Trail Rides, just ten minutes from Daylesford.

A two hour horse ride allows the rider enough time to relax and enjoy the countryside, but is not too strenuous on the body.

The riding experience you will get at Hepburn Lagoon Rides will be a unique one. You will receive individual attention and it is their aim to ensure you feel comfortable and enjoy the ride.

The Tack Room is a quaint stone cottage that was built with the purpose of storing tack, but the open fire and comfy chairs have made it the perfect place to relax after a ride. They offer you drinks and something to eat after the ride, which really adds to your horse riding experience.
